Beach Woods has a lovely boardwalk to the ocean and a lengthy fishing pier on the Indian River that is covered at the end and has water and electricity. There are two sparkling pools and the larger is heated in the winter. Fitness is fun at Beach Woods and the equipment is great. Try a cleansing Sauna or just relax at the pool. There is a wonderful children's playground and bocce tennis/pickleball, handball,racquetball and basketball court. Walk over to the Community Center and sign up for parties, or bridge, bingo, mahjong, exercise classes inside and in the pool. There is something for everyone. Shopping and restaurants are just a mile away at the Driftwood Shopping Plaza. If Golf is your game, there are two lovely courses withing 10 miles of Beach Woods right on the Barrier Island. You might spend a day at the Space Center in Cape Canaveral about 50 minutes away or enjoy theater and other restaurants in Downtown Melbourne where there are always ongoing Music, Art Shows and parades for all occasions. Hospitals and Urgent care are nearby and Orlando attractions and Airport are about 1 hour and fifteen minutes by car.
